Caltex introduces Visa payWave for a seamless gas-up experience

Want to gas up like you’re in a pit stop? Caltex, marketed by Chevron Philippines, Inc. (CPI), gives you the chance to do so with the introduction of Visa payWave – a seamless, contactless, and secure payment technology that won’t need your signature or PIN in order to finish the transaction.

The catch? It’s only for transactions below P2,000. So, if you want to hoard on Caltex fuels with Clean & Glide technology using your Visa payWave, sorry, but you will have to go through the traditional signing of the receipt and entering a PIN.

To make things more exciting for the customers, CPI and Visa kick off the “Drive Away a Millionaire” promo. From April 21 to July 31, 2017, motorists who’ll be buying Caltex fuel products—Platinum with Techron, Silver with Techron, and Diesel with Techron D—using Visa payWave have a chance to win P1-million pesos of Visa card credit. That’s almost as good as cash, considering the products you can purchase using Visa.

Moreover, 3 lucky motorists will also be given 1 year of Star cash (Caltex’s gas card) worth P100,000. Other motorists also have a chance to win instant P50 discount with their fuel purchase.

To join the promo, motorists should fuel up using Visa payWave to get 3 raffle entries for every P500 increment. Each Visa contact transaction also entitles the customer to a raffle entry.

The 1st raffle draw for the 1st winner of P100,000 Starcash will be on May 26, 2017, which will cover transactions from April 21 to May 20. Non-winners from this draw will still have a chance on the next draw on June 30, which has coverage until June 20. Lastly, all who still wish for luck will still have a shot at the 3rd and grand raffle draw on August 11. They can either win the Star cash or the P1-million Visa card credit in this draw.
