If the current Trailblazer Z71 we reviewed still bores you, Chevrolet Philippines has something that might change your mind. The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), the exclusive importer and distributor of Chevrolet vehicles and parts in the Philippines, introduces the new Trailblazer LTX variant.
It’s based on the 2.8L LT AT variant of the American midsize SUV. So, same segment-leading 500-Nm diesel engine – only bolder, meaner-looking, and more intelligent. If you ask us, we love it.
The Trailblazer LTX variant gets a 2-tone front bumper overrider. It’s also equipped with a roof rail for an added storage option, such as bike mounts and roof racks. At the back, the tailgate is adorned with a spoiler, while the bumper gets a scuff plate.
These added accessories complement the SUV’s looks and off-road functionality, making it look like it’s ready to embark on an adventure anytime.
Aside from aesthetic upgrades, the Trailblazer LTX variant comes standard with an HD in-dash camera with 32GB memory card. This is a first in its segment, which is usually bought as an aftermarket upgrade.
In addition, it’s also equipped with a reverse camera (with top view) for added parking assistance. This is then displayed on a 4.3-inch LCD monitor conveniently placed within the rear view mirror. Nice.
The new Trailblazer LTX variant is priced at P1,618,000, which comes with a lot of perks from TCCI. This includes a special 5-year warranty coverage or 100,000 km (whichever comes first) – 3-year bumper-to-bumper warranty and a 2-year engine warranty.
Owners are also automatically enrolled to the 24/7 Chevrolet Emergency Roadside Support for 3 years, with an option to renew on their 4th year. Lastly, TCCI also has a 24/7 Customer Care Hotline for the new owners and guarantees them 1-hour express service for certain services in select Chevrolet dealerships.
