DPWH to start 24/7 rehabilitation of U.N. Avenue

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will start its rehabilitation of the United Nations (U.N.) Avenue in Ermita, Manila. The 24/7 construction project will start this Monday, October 10, 2016 at 7:00 pm.

DPWH hopes to complete the project as soon as possible with this round-the-clock construction scheme. They aim to improve traffic flow in these areas, as well as ensure safety of road users by fixing some drainage systems.

The rehabilitation project amounts to 840 lineal meters of U.N. Avenue, from Taft Avenue to Estero de Paco Bridge.

The first portion to be closed is from Taft Avenue to San Marcelino Street, which will be followed by the segment from San Marcelino Street to Romualdez Street upon completion. Lastly, the part from Romualdez Street to Estero de Paco Bridge will end the rehabilitation project.
