Exciting new cars to see at the 2015 Manila International Auto Show

The 2015 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) is about to open this coming April 9 to 12 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. And we’ve got all the new and exciting car model launches you should watch out for.

For starters, BYD’s display will include the new Qin, which is a plug-in hybrid sedan. BMW will then be showcasing their recently-launched 2 Series Active Tourer. This is a milestone for BMW as this will be their first entry into the highly-contested MPV segment. Chevrolet will also bring in something new; a preview of the upcoming Trax, which is set to compete with Ford’s hot-selling EcoSport compact crossover.

Speaking of Ford, expect to see the all-new Everest and the latest Mustang to pull in some attention. It’s been awhile since the Everest has had a major update, and it’s nice that we can finally see this all-new model. Meanwhile, head on over to Foton’s booth for the latest in the brand’s line of commercial vehicles and vans, along with the tough and flashy new Foton Thunder 4x4 Ironman pickup.

Mazda’s booth, on the other hand, will be jam-packed this year, which comprises of the all-new Mazda 2 in both hatchback and sedan versions. They’ll also have updated versions of the CX-5 and Mazda 6 sedan, as well as a Mazda 6 wagon. Rounding them all up is the appearance of the all-new MX-5.

It has only been a few weeks since Mitsubishi unveiled their all-new Strada and it will take center at MIAS with its refreshed look and improved capabilities. Not to be outdone in the pickup truck segment, Nissan will have the NP300 Navara as their showpiece.

Volkswagen’s bright lights will once again be shining this year, and for a good reason, as the 7th generation Golf GTi will be on spotlight, along with the Polo hatchback.

Finally, aside from the usual crowd-pleasers like the WRX, the WRX STi, and the BRZ, Subaru will debut the latest Legacy and Outback.

See you all at the Manila International Auto Show on April 9 to 12, 2015 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City.
