Ford revealed the limited-edition GT ‘66 Heritage Edition to commemorate the brand’s historic 1-2-3 Le Mans 24 Hour race victory in 1966. It honors the GT40 Mark II racecar that was driven to victory by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon.

Celebrating the anniversary of Ford’s historic victories at Le Mans has always been a part of the return of the Ford GT. The 2017 Ford GT ’66 Heritage Edition is a stunning tribute to the car that kicked off Ford’s string of Le Mans victories in 1966,” said Raj Nair, Ford executive vice president, product development, and chief technical officer.

The GT ‘66 Heritage Edition sports a ‘Shadow Black’ exterior in either gloss or matte finish with silver stripes and exposed carbon fiber package. The vehicle is also fitted with ‘Frozen White’ #2 hood and door graphics, and 20-inch one-piece forged aluminum wheels.

Inside, it is equipped with carbon-fiber seats with pillowed inserts, embossed GT logos on the head restraints and steering wheel. In addition, the GT '66 comes with leather wrapped instrument panel, pillars, and headliner.

The Ford GT ‘66 Heritage Edition is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost engine that delivers more than 600 PS.
