Ford Ph achieves a 27% year-to-date sales increase in April 2015

Ford Philippines has recently announced that last April 2015, they were able to sell a total of 1,632 units. That drives up their year-to-date tally by a whopping 27% with 6,905 units sold since the start of the year. And they’re citing the a continuing demand for models like the Ranger, EcoSport, and Fiesta as the main drivers for this feat.

“We’re pleased that our momentum continued through April as Filipinos continue to show their confidence in the Ford brand and appreciation for the way our global Ford vehicles are meeting their lifestyle and transportation needs,” said Kay Hart, Managing Director of Ford Philippines.

With its sporty design, high ground clearance, and sensible value, the EcoSport continues to lead the pack on its year-to-date sales record with 2,824 units sold, followed by the class-defining Ranger with 2,749 units, and the sporty Fiesta with 491 units.

Meanwhile, April’s record revealed that the Ranger’s sales rose by 44% to 691 units. The EcoSport, on the other hand, sold 667 units, and the Fiesta with 100 units. As for the Explorer premium midsize SUV, a handful 69 units were delivered in the month of March.

Ford Philippines remain optimistic about boosting its overall sales, with the introduction of the all-new Everest next week, customers can start placing their reservations and expect it to be delivered as early as August this year.

However, Ford Philippines cited their concern over the irregular license plate distribution, which made customers defer their bookings, and caused slow growth in sales in the industry as a whole.

With dealer expansion as part of the company’s growing effort to establish better customer and ownership experience, Ford Philippines is presently looking forward in celebrating the official opening of Ford Malolos in Bulacan later this month. It is also set to open new dealerships in Sta. Rosa, Laguna and Ormoc, Leyte this June, bringing to a total of 40 Ford dealerships across the country.
