Ford Ph opens applications for all-new Ford GT

Ford has begun taking applications for the first 500 units of the all-new Ford GT. Customers may begin the application process and configure their car by going to FordGT.com. Best part is, it’s also open to buyers in the Philippines.

Local applicants would be advised which dealers would cater to them and if approved, they will complete their personalized purchase with the help the new Ford GT Concierge Service. The support from the concierge will not only be in ordering and delivery, but would extend through the years that you own the supercar.

“We understand GT customers are strong ambassadors for Ford Motor Company and we look forward to providing them a service as distinct as the car itself,” said Henry Ford III, Global Marketing Manager, Ford Performance.

The online configurator makes it easy to tailor-fit the car to your liking. It lets you choose among 8 exterior colors, 8 stripe colors, lower finish, wheels, and interior theme. The resulting image can be shared online or downloaded as wallpaper.

The all-new Ford GT is powered by a 3.5L Ecoboost V6 engine capable of 600 hp, coupled to a 7-speed dual clutch automated manual transmission with paddle shifts. Its body is made of carbon fiber body with teardrop theme to minimize drag, while ride height can be lowered to 50mm to improve aerodynamics. Under it is an aluminum subframe that adds rigidity without sacrificing weight. Stopping is secured via Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes assisted by speed-activated deployable rear wing.

Production of the all-new Ford GT is limited to 250 units per year, with the first pre-order covering the first 2 years of manufacturing. Submission of applications for the first batch will end on May 24, 2016. Pricing would be dependent on market duties, tax, VAT and will include freight and delivery.
