From being a successful interim managing director at Ford France in March 2016, Bertrand Lessard is now set to drive Ford Philippines as managing director, effective on August 1, 2017. He will report directly to Mark Kaufman, President of Ford ASEAN.
Lessard will be replacing Lance Mosley who has been appointed as Ford Philippines’ managing director last December 2015. The company says Mosley is flying back to the U.S. after staying in the Asia Pacific Region for 6 years.
“Bertrand has a wealth of experience with Ford in markets around the world and his leadership will help us continue to grow our business and our brand in the Philippines."
Lessard has been serving Ford Motor Company for more than 40 years. He started as a service technician in a Ford dealership in his home province at Quebec. He also worked as a warrant claims analyst at Ford Canada in Oakville and Ontario in 1984.
Lessard returned to Quebec regional office to perform various roles in after-sales and eventually become the assistant regional director. He then moved to Dubai to serve as the marketing director of Ford Middle East in 1995.
From 1999-2009, Lessard proved his excellent leadership in managing Ford Canada's after-sales and advertising departments that led to a positive restructuring of their Ford and Mercury dealer networks.
His most recent role was Ford France’s general sales director, where he administered the potential to develop relationships with nationwide dealer network through enhanced process efficiencies and communications.
Lessard is also behind the unveiling of the all-new Mustang, which has become one of the best-selling sports car in the market today.
