Maxus G50 philippines

Maxus Philippines, the Ayala-owned importer, and distributor of British-bred commercial vehicles in the country such as the Maxus T60 and Maxus V80 have been busy teasing a new vehicle lately in the form of a new MPV. The new vehicle in question is the Maxus G50 which boasts an 8-seat passenger capacity. Initially, the automaker teased the vehicle without a specific release date only indicating that the vehicle would be launching in August. This time, however, the brand has officially given out a launch date for the vehicle and it will be on August 25, 2020. The official reveal of the vehicle will be done online in order to help further prevent the spread of the still ongoing pandemic. The all-new Maxus G50 will slot in below the G10 and will come with attractive features along with a competitive price point.

Maxus Philippines hasn’t released too much information about the upcoming G50, however, the automaker has released its engine specification. The all-new 8-seater MPV will come powered by a gasoline engine. It comes powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline motor that comes mated with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The gasoline engine makes 169hp and 250 Nm of torque and will come into the Philippine market with three variants available and all will be automatic. It will also come with a 12.3-inch infotainment system giving it one of the largest screen displays in its segment.

What remains unknown is the Maxus G50’s pricing. While Maxus Philippines has not released any other information with regards to specifications and pricing we estimate that the 8-seater MPV should come priced somewhere between P800,000 to P1,200,000. If this holds true then the G50 could easily carve out a niche for itself in the local market and prove to be a hit with its attractive and competitive pricing.
