Mazda Philippines and MFI Foundation extend partnership to provide scholars with education

The exclusive distributor of Mazda vehicles in the Philippines, Berjaya Auto Philippines (BAP), has signed a contract extension to continue its support for the scholars of MFI Foundation. This marks the 2nd year of the partnership between BAP and MFI Foundation.

The partnership includes knowledge sharing and exchange of technology trends like on-site training activities at Mazda Philippines. The program makes use of a TESDA-accredited Dual Training System to equip the trainees with the job qualifications needed through a level of specific, general, and occupation-related theoretical instruction provided by the MFI Technological Institute. Then a practical hands-on training is provided at Mazda service centers.

The contract was signed by BAP and Mazda Philippines President and CEO, Steven Tan and Director of Customer Service, Aftersales and General Counsel of BAP, David Macasadia together with MFI Foundation Inc. Executive Vice-President and COO Antonio M. Kosca and Executive Director and Vice-President Manolo S. Santos. 

BAP and Mazda Philippines have already supported 20 scholars with its 1st batch of students having finished the academic side of the program and are now on the 1,440 hour OJT period at various Mazda dealerships.
