To those in the business or corporate world, productivity includes the time spent doing tasks while on the road like sending emails or attending to client calls. In this light, Mercedes-Benz teamed up with Microsoft to develop the “In Car Office,” a new tech which helps you accomplish tasks right from your car.
The In Car Office is integrated with ‘Exchange,’ a mail server developed by Microsoft that lets you organize work schedules, manage to-do lists, contacts, among others. With this, the In Car Office can preload data such as directions to your business trips, meeting agendas, and other tasks into your car’s infotainment system.
Moreover, the In Car Office can make call suggestions based on your work calendar or daily schedule. It can then let you communicate with your colleagues or clients via in-car voice call system.
As of this writing, the In Car Office tech, which has been unveiled at this year’s Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) in Berlin Germany, will soon be available on Mercedes-Benz’s vehicles by the first half of 2017.
