MIAS 2016: Tata presents full passenger and commercial vehicle line-up

Aimed towards entrepreneurs, Tata Motors Philippines showcased their full vehicle line-up at the 2016 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). This included their commercial and passenger vehicles, highlighting the new PRIMA truck and Super ACE.

Super ACE

This versatile van can be fitted with various body configurations such as the FB and School Bus body for business or family needs. It can ferry a total of 16 passengers with the school bus body having all front facing seats, which is in accordance to the new Land Transport Franchising and Regulatory Board’s (LTFRB) new requirement.

ACE

Similar to its big brother the Super ACE, this smaller utility van can also have various body configurations to fit different applications. Some examples include the ACE Rescue Boy and ACE Food Truck.

PRIMA 4038K 6x4

The PRIMA truck is perfect for heavy hauling applications such as garbage compactors, skip loaders, and other cargo. This truck is powered by an 8.9L CUMMINS ISLe high pressure common rail diesel engine that can pump out 370 hp. It’s then mated to a 9-speed Eaton transmission. The PRIMA is fitted with an 18 cu. meter box body and is supported by a Bogie Suspension on all wheels.

Xenon XT 4x4

As for the Xenon XT, Tata displayed a modified version that features aftermarket rims with rugged tyres, steel bars, and roof mounted LED lights to complete the tough off-road look. There’s no word though if they’ll offer this as a variant or will the parts be available as a dealer option.

Manza Aura

The Manza Aura sedan on display featured sharp 3 barrel headlights and a chrome grille. It’s powered by a 1.3L diesel engine that produces 90 hp and 200 Nm of torque while delivering an economic fuel efficiency of 21.3 km/l. Inside, it’s equipped with a 2-DIN music system with Bluetooth connectivity and steering wheel mounted controls.

Vista Ignis

The Vista Ignis is a practical, reliable, and fun-to-drive hatchback that sports the same 3 barrel headlamps as seen in the Manza Aura. Its spacious trunk, which can be filled with 232L of cargo, can be expanded to 610L by folding its seats. The Vista Ignis has a 1.3L diesel engine that can squeeze out 75 hp and 190 Nm of torque and can do an impressive 22.2 km/l.

Indigo

Last but definitely not the least; the Indigo is Tata’s entry to the subcompact sedan segment. This car is aimed for the business-minded Filipino as it’s suited for fleet or taxi applications. Aside from its affordable price and generous cargo space, it also offers a spacious cabin, a comfortable ride, and a durable platform.

It’s powered by a 1.4L Quadrajet Common Rail Direct Injection Turbocharged diesel engine that’s capable of producing 70 hp and 135 Nm of torque and can do 18.9 km/l.
