MINI Ph debuts the latest Clubman with 2 exciting variants

MINI Philippines recently unveiled a familiar name plate back to its vehicle arsenal. Showcasing a bolder body design and a more spacious cabin, the Clubman is back and is aiming to mix a bit of practicality to that distinctive fun-to-drive nature its siblings are known for.

This premium compact 5-seater flaunts what MINI calls a “shooting brake concept” body styling. It’s defined by a stretched silhouette, long roof line, and a steep rear end, this car presents itself with a forward-looking posture and a sporty aura.

Of course, those unique round headlamps are there not just to illuminate the road, but also to express its family’s unique fascia design that has evolved through the years. Complimenting this is an arched hood, a hexagonal grille, and strategically-placed air ducts that help reduce turbulence at speed.

When the MINI Clubman was first presented in 2007, it was responding to a desire for space to accommodate more passengers and luggage with comfort, safety and efficiency in mind. Today, the new Clubman far surpasses its predecessor not only in dimensions but in providing an overall better driving experience,” said Mini Philippines President Willy Tee Ten.

As he said, the Clubman’s highlight is its interior and the ambiance it provides for the occupants. Aside from the sporty seats, easy access controls, and that unique MINI Centre Instrument, the Clubman boasts more room for passengers to move freely. The rear luggage area adds practicality as well and is presented in style by 2 split-opening doors.

Another unique feature of the interior is an atmospheric lighting system. This can be set accordingly to fit the occupants’ mood and to provide extra light source at night.

According to MINI Philippines, the Clubman will come in 2 variants with TwinPower turbo gasoline engines; the Cooper and the Cooper S. The Cooper takes the 1.5L inline 3-cylinder, while the Cooper S comes with a 2.0L inline 4-cylinder version. Drivers can take control using either a 6-speed automatic transmission (Cooper) or an 8-speed Steptronic Sports automatic with paddle shifters (Cooper S).

They also stated that the Clubman Cooper and Clubman Cooper S are priced at P2,700,000 and P3,200,000, respectively.
