Grand Tourer concept

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) released a teaser image of the Grand Tourer concept, which will debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show in October.

According to the Japanese automaker, the Grand Tourer concept is designed to be an upmarket SUV. It aims to highlight the company’s “design ambitions” through 4 elements: “Augmented Possibilities, Functional Beauty, Solid Thrust, and Japanese Craftsmanship.”

The concept is also meant to showcase MMC’s latest plug-in hybrid technology. MMC said that the Grand Tourer concept will be integrated with advanced driving technologies for “effortless cruising in all driving conditions – on and off road.”

Judging from the teaser image, the concept appears to have an aggressive, muscular exterior along with sharp character lines, prominent wheel arches, and slim taillights.
