Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation

Aside from achieving its new monthly sales record last March 2017, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) donated a brand new L300 XV Microbus to the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE) Go Negosyo.

MMPC teamed up with Centro Manufacturing Corporation to make this donation possible. It aims to boost PCE Go Negosyo’s “Kapatid Project,” which encourages medium and large corporations to help micro and small enterprises.

The turnover ceremony was graced by Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship Joey A. Concepcion, PCE Adviser for Entrepreneurship Development Merly M. Cruz, Centro President Raphael T. Juan, and MMPC President and CEO Yoshiaki Kato.

In a speech by Kato, he said micro, small, and medium enterprises choose the L300 for its proven reliability, affordability, and low maintenance cost. Furthermore, the local production of the L300 has helped the Philippine automotive industry with jobs for MMPC, local parts suppliers, and truck body builders. Of note, MMPC has also started producing the Mirage G4 at their local assembly plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

To recall, the Mitsubishi L300 is a commercial vehicle that is available in different body configurations. It is powered by a 2.5L diesel engine that delivers 71 hp and 140 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
