Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has begun its first ever Mitsubishi Mirage Metro Challenge. This highlights the Mirage and Mirage G4’s potential as fun and practical automobiles through a series of challenging driving scenarios that test their key features and capabilities.
The challenge is star-studded to say the least. It’s comprised of 6 cars piloted by celebrities; rock star Rico Blanco, volleyball star Gretchen Ho, singer Markki Stroem, actress Ellen Adarna, internet action star Ramon Bautista, and singer Saab Magalona. Each led a team of 2 college students on a mission to be the first Mitsubishi Mirage Metro Challenge champion.
Skill, teamwork, and automotive knowledge are the name of the game.
The first leg of the challenge was held last May 9 at the Quezon City Memorial Circle and shall continue on May 16 at the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig. The final leg will then be held on May 30 at SM Mall Of Asia.
The champion team will be determined via accumulated points from each leg and online votes, to which a cash prize of P100,000 shall be awarded to each team member. A charitable institution will also be given a treat as the celebrity team leader’s prize will be given to them.
2nd place non-celebrity teammates take home P50,000 each, while 3rd place non-celebrity teammate will have P30,000 each. As for the rest of the non-celebrity teammates, each will be handed with a consolation prize of P10,000.
