More Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato enter production in 2018

Aston Martin recently announced that it will start the limited production of its Vanquish Zagato Speedster and Shooting Brake in 2018. The British carmaker said that the former will be the rarest with just 28 units made, while the latter will have 99.

Based on the Vanquish S, both Zagatos will have a powerful 600-hp naturally-aspirated V12 engine paired with a touchtronic III transmission for smooth shifts. It also has adaptive damping, which is fine-tuned for each model to provide a dynamic and comfortable drive.

Aside from that, both Speedster and Shooting Brake will have carbon fiber body panels with shared details such as the Aston Martin Vulcan inspired ‘Blade’ tail lights, as well as the 3D Zagato motifs in the front grille and rear vent meshes.

The main difference between the 2 sports cars is their roof designs. The Speedster, which has already been sold out, boasts an exciting open-top experience, thanks to its roofless layout highlighted by Zagato’s ‘double-bubble’ design.

On the other hand, the Shooting Brake features a C-pillar that extends all the way to the back — typical of a wagon. With this, glass wraps around its upper body allowing better vision and more natural light in its 2-seater cockpit.

The Zagato Speedster and Shooting Brake complete a quartet of luxury sports cars, joining their elder siblings—the Vanquish Zagato Coupe and Volante—that started production back in 2016. The Vanquish is the 5th model to be created from the partnership between Aston Martin and Italian design-house Zagato. Their 1st joint product started back in 1960 with the DB4 GT Zagato, which is now valued at £10-million (around P662-million).
