Attention race fans. On March 28, the 2015 National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC) will hold its 3rd round at the Clark International Speedway. And with just 2 rounds to go, things are really heating up as the series approaches midway.
Faced with a handful of mechanical problems in round 2, JCT-Blanche’s Jonathan Tiu is challenged to make a comeback to reclaim leadership in the Quick 8s and Super Pro Class. Will his “Tiunami 1” GT-R be able to make it? Your guess is as good as ours, as previous winners William “Bill” Hand and Tiu’s teammate Sheldon Chua will definitely put up a good fight.
The Super Pro Class is something to look forward to as well. Racers like Vanni Garcia, Allan Ararao, TJ Pangilinan, and Aaron Lao will battle it out for the fastest quarter mile time with the veterans from the Angeles Hot Rod Association (AHRA). Finally, excitement continues in the Pro and Expert classes, with the Millet brothers Arvin and Chris Jayson dominating their respective fields.
The 2015 National Drag Racing Championship is sanctioned by the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP) and sponsored by M&H Tires, Sparco, GT Radial, and Aguila Auto Glass.
Registration starts at 6:30 AM followed by the practice runs at 7:00 AM. The qualifiers will then promptly begin at 9:00 AM and competition at 11:00 AM. Entry fee is P2,000 per driver, plus a P300 day license from AAP and P400 for insurance. Super Pro and Pro Class drivers, however must secure an AAP National Competition License to join.
