Nissan PH launches the new Almera aimed to excite market

Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) aims to excite the Philippine market with the launch of the new Almera. Will its refreshed exterior and new interior features do the trick?

The new Nissan Almera boasts a redesigned front facade with their signature boomerang-inspired headlamps which is in-line with their global brand design. It also has a more prominent front grille which is topped with chromed accents. The updates don't stop there. Besides a remodeled boot, the new Almera also receives newly designed 12-spoke alloy wheels to give it a touch of sportiness.

Inside, a new layout for the center console can be seen. A new multi-information display, 3-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel, and leather seats are featured for the new Almera's top-of-the-line variant.

Meanwhile, standard for the new Almera are iPod connectivity, cup holders, and dual ventilation with speed control at the back. These combined with its generous legroom give passengers a more comfortable experience in the car. Drivers can enjoy the push-button start and remote keyless system features.

For its powerplant, soon-to-be-owners of the new Almera would be happy to know that they can choose between 2 4-cylinder DOHC engines – the new 1.2L and the 1.5L.

The 1.2L engine can pump out 79 hp and 106 Nm of torque. This is then mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Moreover, the 1.5L variants can produce up to 99 hp and 134 Nm of toque. This is then transferred to the ground by a 4-speed automatic transmission.

For safety, the new Almera features ABS with Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist, and dual front airbags.

NPI boasts how easy it can be to own the new Almera with its high quality parts which prolongs the need for periodic maintenance service (PMS). NPI also claims that spare parts are 30% lower than other cars in its class.

A total of 5 variants are available for the new Almera: the 1.2L MT which is priced at P630,000, the 1.5L E MT at P726,000, the 1.5L E AT at P762,000, the 1.5L V AT at P845,000, and the top-of-the-line 1.5L VL AT at P880,000. It's available in 4 colors, Brilliant Silver, Alpine White, Bluish Black, and Titanium Grey.

Yes, the new Almera is exciting especially when thinking about business opportunities. Its affordable price tag, spacious legroom, easy maintenance, and Nissan's legendary air conditioning will make it the go to car this time around even for personal use.
