Nissan terra 4x2 Rear

There is no need to worry about warranties or periodic maintenance service (PMS) schedules when it comes to Nissan vehicles. The brand has announced that it will be allowing owners to extend their vehicle’s warranties that are expiring during the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) period. Clients of the Japanese brand will be able to enjoy a grace period for their periodic maintenance, and an extension for their Nissan Vehicle’s warranty if it happens to be expiring during the COVID-19 enhanced quarantine for the Philippines.

Update: Nissan vehicle warranties and PMS schedules will be further extended to May 31, in line with the extension of the enhanced community quarantine guidelines.

Nissan Warranty and PMS extension

The extension will be subject to validation. Nissan’s vehicle warranty spans a length of 3-years or 100,000km whichever comes first. To abide by the warranty, clients are supposed to follow the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule to ensure optimal performance and condition of the Nissan vehicle in question. The COVID-19 pandemic has made periodic maintenance at the dealerships an impossible task, so Nissan is also giving customers a grace period that covers any missed periodic maintenance schedules during the enhanced quarantine period.

Nissan Payment Deadline Extension

Not only will PMS and Warranties be extended, but so will monthly payment deadlines for customers under Nissan Finance. In the statement, the deadlines that fall within the ECQ period will be given an extension due to the less-than-stellar circumstances.

Nissan dealerships will remain closed to follow strict social distancing measures to inhibit the spread of COVID-19 in the country. Consumers may still be able to contact the brand and their respective dealerships for inquiries through the company’s customer assistance hotline. You may still get in touch with Nissan sales agents if you may have any inquiries or concerns. Dealerships are also reachable during this quarantine period.

It is important to stay safe and in your homes these coming weeks, and Nissan is one of the many brands turning to over-the-air solutions to reach their customers across the Philippines. Nissan hopes to also ease its customers and give them one less thing to worry about during this time of risk. After the quarantine, operations will try to pick up back to normal, then Nissan vehicles will be able to get serviced at the dealerships without any inhibiting factors.
