BAIC M20

BAIC introduced the M20 as its entry to the local MPV segment during the 6th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). This MPV has generous legroom, a host of interior features, and a competitive price tag.

For its exterior, the M20 comes with a honeycomb grille, projector headlights, and fog lamps. Meanwhile, this MPV also has roof rails for additional cargo such as a surfboard or a few bikes. On its rear, large taillights and a 3rd brake light can be seen. It also comes with an extra set of fog lamps and rear parking sensors to help drivers while backing up.

The BAIC M20 is bigger compared to the likes of the Toyota Avanza and the Suzuki Ertiga. The M20 is longer by at least 145 mm, wider by around 5 mm, and taller by about 100 mm. It’s also worth mentioning that the M20 has a longer wheelbase (2,790 mm) compared to the Avanza (2,655 mm) and Ertiga (2,740 mm). Thanks to its spacious interior occupants get that much needed head, shoulder, and legroom for optimal comfort.

Inside, the entertainment is taken care by an LCD touchscreen headunit that can play CD and MP3 formats through 6-speakers. Passengers can also load their music using an SD card or a flashdisk. Meanwhile, the dual air conditioning system keeps temperature cool all around the cabin.

To keep passengers safe, the BAIC M20 MPV features an alarm, child safety lock, dual front airbags, and ABS with electronic brake-force distribution (available with the Luxury variant).

The M20 is available in 2 seating configurations: the 8-seater Comfort which is priced at P548,000 and the top-of-the-line variant 7-seater Luxury which has a sticker price of P578,000. Both are powered by a 1.5 L gasoline engine capable of producing 115 hp and 150 Nm of torque which is then mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
