Porsche 911 Carrera T

Porsche has unveiled the 2018 911 Carrera T. According to the German brand, this modern take on their 1968 classic is the lightest and “purest” Carrera in the current range.

The 911 Carrera T takes its shape from the Carrera Coupe (pretty much the default look of the current Porsche lineup). This model, however, is fitted with an aerodynamically-optimized front spoiler, 20-inch wheels, and a black exhaust tip. It also has a lower ride height compared to other Carreras (0.39 inches to be exact) thanks to its PASM Sport Suspension.

Inside, a black interior theme can be seen on the dashboard, seats, and door panels. The two 4-way electronic adjustable sports seats are covered in black Sport-Tex material and has a black ‘911’ logo embroidered on the headrest.

The interior can be customized to have contrasting colors such as Racing Yellow, Guards Red, or GT Silver. It also has a shortened shifter for its manual transmission, placed in between the seats. Where’s the entertainment system you ask? Well, it’s been dumped to save weight.

Speaking of weight, Porsche boasts its impressive power-to-weight ratio provided by a 6-cylinder twin-turbo 3.0L flat engine. This mill can produce 370 hp and 460 Nm of torque. Combine that with its 1,426 kg body weight, you get a lively sports car that can launch from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds and reach a top speed of 293 km/h.
