2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS

Porsche premiered its fastest 911 production model yet at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. Bearing the nameplate 911 GT2 RS, it hides a taunting 700 hp out from a twin turbo flat-6 engine.

This mean machine, which by saying 'mean' we meant a 0 to 97 km/h at 2.7 seconds, has a top speed plays at 340 km/h and 750 Nm of torque. All, thanks to the Turbo S-based 3.8L engine with larger turbochargers.

The new 911 GT2 is equipped with a customized GT 7-speed double-clutch Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) automatic transmission

After all, the 911 GT2 RS only weighs 1,470 kg with a full gas tank. So needless to say, its 'race-bred' chassis (as to how Porsche calls it) is a huge speed contribution due to the additional road grip it provides. The chassis is integrated with rear axle steering and a tuned stability management system. Add the presence of large intakes, outlets, and rear spoilers that keeps the car on the ground, while boosting its aerodynamics.

Exterior-wise, a Porsche will forever be a Porsche (so far), as the brand still manages to preserve the traditional look of the car – with modernized features that copes up with the years. The front fenders, wheel housing vents, outer shells on the Sport Design side mirrors, luggage compartment lid, and parts of the rear are all made from carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP).

The 2018 GT2 RS boasts a sporty interior, which is upholstered with red Alcantara, black leather, and carbon fiber trims as standard. A sport steering wheel with paddle shift, and full bucket seats with carbon fiber backrests tops the driving experience elements. For the center console, it's got the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) for audio, navigation, and communication functions.
