Subaru Impreza receives upgrades you'll definitely enjoy

If you're still undecided if you'll choose an Impreza over other sedans, here's a clincher for you. Motor Image Pilipinas, Inc. (MIPI), distributor of Subaru cars in the Philippines, is throwing in a special upgrade when you buy a brand new Subaru Impreza.

The whole lineup of Impreza has been upgraded. Front styling has been revised with a new front bumper, grille, and headlights giving it a close resemblance to the 2015 Legacy.

There isn't much of an upgrade under the hood as the Impreza will still be powered by a 2.0 L 16-valve DOHC Boxer engine. It can produce up to 150 hp and 196 Nm of torque. It can either be mated to the 6-speed manual transmission or the Lineartronic Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT), in which you could still control your gear through the paddle shift.

Before, the 2.0i variant was fitted with a basic 2-DIN audio system. You can forget about it as now you can enjoy 6.2-inch color display audio system with 6 speakers on your new Impreza.

This, along with the other features like the HID headlamps with auto leveliser, rear and front fog lamps, power-folding door mirrors with built-in LED turn signal, single muffler cutter, automatic AC system with anti-dust filter, and cruise control, comes standard with every Impreza 2.0i variant.

For the 2.0i-Sport variant, it will now come with a premium audio system, equipped with 7-inch VGA center display and 6 speakers. This includes the rear vision camera system.

In addition to that, your dashboard will show you the fuel economy screen, the eco-evaluation screen, driving condition, clock with outside temperature, and maintenance information via the 4.3-inch LCD screen display.

The trunk and side under spoilers, along with the aluminum pedals, will still come standard with 2.0i-Sport variant.
