The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reminded that trucks and heavy vehicles are exempted from the truck ban if it is registered in the Terminal Appointment Booking System (TABS).
TABS is an electronic platform for booking containers in the major ports of Manila. It intends to yield a more organized in- and out-flow of cargos from the Manila International Container Terminal and Asian Terminals, Inc.
Trucks that are not registered in TABS should observe the regular truck ban which is from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. except Sunday and holidays.
Moreover, the MMDA reiterated that it will continue to implement the One Truck Lane Policy along C-5, Katipunan Avenue, Congressional Road, Mindanao Avenue, and R-10. The agency added that TABS-registered trucks should be on the dedicated lane along Roxas Boulevard.
