Toyota Motor Philippines School of Technology (TMP Tech) held its first commencement exercise, 2 years after it started its operations back in 2013. This memorable event was held last August 28, 2015 within the 1 hectare Toyota Special Economic Zone located at Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
A total of 109 graduates finished the 2-year Toyota General Job Automotive Servicing Course, and will be joining Toyota's workforce here and abroad. 96 graduates will be employed by TMP while 11 will be entering the Specialized Toyota Automotive Training Program (STATP). Eventually, the 11 graduates will be deployed to Toyota dealerships in Saudi Arabia.
The school aims to provide world-class technical education to Filipino youth from different regions of the country in order to serve the increasing demand for after-sales service manpower of Toyota.
As Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) president Michinobu Sugata puts it,
Through TMP Tech, we shall leverage our technical, financial, and human resources in order to catalyze national development. This first batch of graduates shall pave the way for future generations of Filipino Toyota professionals who shall complement and support the growing Philippine automotive industry by helping to level up the quality of Toyotas after-sales service.
TMP Tech's curriculum includes combined Toyota-specific courses and TESDA-required competencies. Extensive on-the-job training at local Toyota dealerships is also on the curriculum to strengthen the student's learning experience integrating theory and hands-on practice.
For more information on the admissions and application for their upcoming term, you can visit TMP Tech's website or you can also call their trunkline at (02)519-4203, (049)530-8311 and look for Ms. Cecilia Ines.
