Toyota has revealed the 2017 Corolla in Russia featuring a redesigned front end, improved rear styling, and a refreshed interior.
Up front, the 2017 Corolla is fitted with a new grille and redesigned headlights that now come with LEDs. These are then complemented by a revamped bumper with improved radiator air intake and fog light housing.
The side profile remains similar to its predecessor, apart from the new 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear, on the other hand, is equipped with LED taillights, a chrome trunk lid garnish, and a slightly-reshaped bumper.
The interior was also tweaked for a more refined presentation. Aside from the piano black and satin chrome trims on the dash, steering wheel, and gear shift lever bezel, the air conditioning vents for the driver and passenger were changed from rectangular to round.
Adding depth to the refreshed ambiance is a new 4.2-in driver information display and a center dash with less buttons. That’s because some of the car’s functions are now controlled using Toyota’s ‘Touch 2’ 7-inch LCD infotainment system.
Under the hood, the Russian-spec Corolla can be powered either by a 1.4L diesel or a 1.8L gasoline engine with either a CVT or a 6-speed manual transmission.
On the other hand, the 2017 Corolla could make its Philippine debut late this year. In terms of power, the facelifted Corolla could most likely retain the 122 hp 1.6L and 143 hp 2.0L gasoline engines, along with the CVT and 6-speed manual gearbox.
