About Ferrari Philippines

With a heritage that’s deeply rooted in to motor racing, Ferrari was founded in 1947 by Enzo Anselmo Ferrari in Maranello, Italy. Prior to that, Enzo was already into motor racing since the 1920’s, competing and winning races with his “Scuderia Ferrari.” which roughly translates to “Team Ferrari” or “Ferrari Stable.” His success in racing was so influential, that Alfa Romeo hired him to be their racing sponsor and chief, which he gladly accepted.

However, all went rough when the tell-tale signs of the 2nd World War loomed. Alfa Romeo was commandeered by the country’s government under Benito Mussolini. Enzo and his Scuderia Ferrari were lucky enough to be snubbed by the fascist government, thus allowing him to temporarily change strategy, and focus on manufacturing parts for war planes. During the War, Enzo built a racecar called the Tipo 815, a car which was referred to by many automotive historians as the first Ferrari car. Enzo, however, wasn’t allowed to race at that time, as per orders by Mussolini, so the car only saw partial completion. After the war, it was all systems go again for Enzo and his Scuderia Ferrari, leading to the official founding of the Ferrari marque in 1947, opening new horizons in manufacturing supercars, and of course in motorsports, especially in Formula 1.

Ferrari is well known for its iconic cars that were inspired from its successful motor racing legacy. Cars like the 1984 Ferrari 250 GTO (Gran Turismo Omologato), the 1987 Ferrari F40, the 1996 Ferrari F50, the 2002 Ferrari Enzo (tribute to Enzo himself), and the very recent 2013 Ferrari LaFerrari.

The LaFerrari was its first hybrid-engine model, and the most powerful supercar it has ever built.

In the Philippines, Ferrari is imported and distributed by Autostrada Motore Inc. with its showroom located at the corner of 32nd and 4th Crescent Park West Bonifacio Global City.

Ferrari offers the Italian automotive icon’s latest luxury supercars. Featured for many are it nameplates like the F12 Berlinetta, the FF, the California T, and a triad of 458’s; the 458 Spyder, 458 Italia, and the 458 Speciale.
