About Jaecoo Philippines
The SUV marque, Jaecoo, hails from the esteemed Chinese automotive powerhouse, Chery, marking its global debut in 2023. Crafted with a keen eye on international markets, including Europe, Russia, Malaysia, the Middle East, and South Africa, Jaecoo aims to bring its sleek, contemporary, and rugged SUVs to a broader audience beyond China.
In the Philippines, Jaecoo, alongside its counterpart Omoda, took center stage at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show for its official unveiling. The inaugural lineup featured the Jaecoo J8 and Jaecoo J7 crossover SUVs, setting the tone for the brand's presence in the country. According to Jaecoo, the name is a combination of the German word Jäger, which means hunter, and the English word “cool.”
