The BMW 5 Series has officially been available in the Philippines since the 1990s and stands as one of BMW Philippines’ longest-standing nameplates locally.
The G30 BMW 5 Series uses BMW’s modular Cluster Architecture (CLAR) platform. The units available locally uses two four-cylinder BMW TwinPower engines with the base engine making 184 hp and 290 Nm of torque, and the M Sport variant making 252 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed Steptronic Automatic Transmission.
The wheelbase measures 2,975 mm. Its length comes in at 4,962 mm, width at 1,868 mm, and height at 1,467 mm. The 5 Series uses a double-wishbone front suspension and a five-link rear suspension. Those opting for the M Sport variant get M Sport adaptive dampers as standard that can change its setting with its different drive modes.

The BMW 5 Series features Automatic air conditioning with four-zone climate control, Electric seat adjustment with memory function for the driver’s seat, Lumbar support, BMW iDrive System, Harman Kardon surround sound system, Ambient Lighting, Additional 12V power sockets, Electric roller sunblinds for the rear window, Mechanical roller sunblinds for the rear side windows, as well as +RFT, Park Distance Control (PDC) front and rear, Rear View Camera, Automatic tailgate, and soft-close function for doors. It also comes standard with BMW Live Cockpit Plus, with a curved display standard for the M Sport variant.
