Dawning the hybrid midsize SUV segment in the country is the BYD Tang. Off-roading, flood-traversing, and jam-pack-driving can now be done with lesser emission. Thanks to the sleek, classy-looking midsize SUV from the Chinese automaker, city and off-road driving is now environmentally friendlier. The exterior, starting off with the fascia, is a combination of chrome accents, an trapezoidal upper grill, a larger lower grille, and the sleek angular headlights. It looks good on both colors available, Timo White and Chocolate Brown, not to mention that it comes with panoramic sunroof for a luxurious touch. The 20-inch wheels give the SUV a superior stance, while ground clearance is a towering 150 mm. Inside, the cabin is a field of leather – a treat for the eyes. It can comfortably accommodate seven adults with ample leg and shoulder room. Aside from comfort, BYD installed in a 10.1 Android Multi-Media System where the 360-degree Parking Assist View is displayed. You could also find the 3 round vents and screen atop the dashboard, which is called the PM 2.5 Air Purification System. Under the hood, is a 2-liter DCT engine with two electric alternating current (AC) motors. The combustion engine alone generates 205 hp and 250 Nm of torque. However, with the help of the AC motors, the Tang gets a total hybrid (HEV) power output of 550 hp. It is mated to a 6-speed automatic engine, which electrically transmit power on all four wheels.
