Launch
The Changan CS55 Plus was launched on November 11, 2022, and was made available in three variants, the Lite, Hype, and Luxe. All three variants are powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 187 hp and 300 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The CS55 Plus sports the brand's latest design language that comes with an array of features that not only make it easy to drive but safer as well.
Platform, Chassis and Powertrain
Powering the Changan CS55 Plus is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that is available for all of its variants. It produces 185hp and 300 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed wet DCT. Stopping power comes from ventilated disc brakes at the front and solid discs at the back. The crossover rides on MacPherson Strut suspension at the front and a multi-link setup at the rear.
Technology Features
For its technology features, the Changan CS55 Plus comes with either a 10.25-inch or 12.3-inch infotainment system which also doubles as your reverse camera monitor. Regardless of which size, the infotainment system supports Apple CarPlya and Mirror link but not Android Auto. The Changan crossover also gets wireless charging along with a 360-degree panoramic camera with HD recordable video for higher variants. Aside from this, the CS55 Plus also gets voice control telephony + windows + radio + AC. It also gets a tire pressure monitoring system as standard for all models along with smart key entry, ISOFIX anchor points, and an immobilizer. A remote start engine function is also available but only for the Luxe model.
Exterior
The Changan CS55 Plus comes with the brand's latest design language featuring a bold yet sleek front fascia. For its exterior features, the Changan CS55 comes standard with a full complement of LEDs for its headlights, parking lights, daytime running lights, and taillights. It also comes with side turn signal lamps. It also rides on 17-inch alloy wheels for all models. An electric tailgate is also available for the higher variant.
Interior
For its interior, the Changan CS55 Plus comes with a spacious and modern cabin. It comes with leather seats with electric adjustability for the driver's seat. It also comes with seat storage behind the driver and front passenger, a 10-inch instrument cluster that is fully digital for the higher variants, a chrome plated shift handle with leather, a center armrest, and a rear center armrest with cup holders. Aside from this the CS55 Plus also comes with automatic air conditioning with a PM0.1 air filter, and an ion generator for its higher variants. It also comes with a 4-speaker audio system for entry-level models and a 6-speaker system for higher models.
Safety
For safety, the Changan CS55 Plus comes well-equipped. all models get ABS with EBD, an electronic stability program, traction control, brake assist, hill hold control, hill descent control, rollover mitigation, and rear parking sensors. Lower variants get dual front and side airbags. Higher variants of the CS55 plus get dual front, side, and curtain airbags. A driving recorder function is also available for the crossover's higher models. On top of this, all models get cruise control, while the higher variants come with adaptive cruise control, landed departure warning, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, traffic jam assist, and autonomous emergency braking.
