Launch
The Deepal brand officially entered the Philippine market in April 2026 under the Autohub Group. The S05 REEV formed part of its debut lineup alongside the S05 BEV and G318 REEV, with the public launch taking place during the 2026 Manila International Auto Show. The S05 is priced at P1,688,000 for its sole variant.
Platform, Chassis and Powertrain
The S05 REEV rides on Changan’s dedicated electrified vehicle architecture, designed to accommodate battery-electric and range-extended powertrains. It uses a front MacPherson strut suspension and a rear multi-link setup, giving it a balance of ride comfort and handling composure.
Power comes from a rear-mounted electric motor producing 214 hp and 320 Nm of torque, driving the rear wheels. Supporting the system is a 27.28-kWh LFP battery pack, while a 1.5-liter gasoline engine works primarily as a generator to recharge the battery and extend driving range rather than directly powering the wheels. Deepal quotes up to 1,059 km of total range under the NEDC cycle.

The Deepal S05 REEV carries a sleek, modern look with a coupe-inspired silhouette and clean surfacing. Its front end is highlighted by Flying Wing LED headlamps, while the side profile features frameless windows, flush hidden door handles, and a wide stance that adds visual presence.
At the rear, Starry Feather-style LED taillights give the crossover a distinctive signature, while 18-inch alloy wheels complete the sporty appearance. The overall design emphasizes both aesthetics and aerodynamic efficiency.
Interior
Inside, the S05 REEV focuses on a minimalist yet upscale cabin environment. The dashboard is dominated by a large central display, while the use of leather upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel adds a more premium feel.
Front occupants benefit from powered seats with heating, ventilation, memory, and even a passenger leg rest function. Rear passengers are also considered with dedicated air vents and generous cabin space, thanks to the long 2,880 mm wheelbase.
Safety
Safety is one of the S05 REEV’s strongest areas, pairing structural protection with a wide suite of advanced driver assistance systems. It uses a reinforced body structure made from high-strength steel and cast aluminum, along with multiple airbags, ABS, EBD, electronic stability control, hill hold, and hill descent control.
It also comes equipped with a 540-degree surround-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, blind spot warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, rear cross traffic alert with braking, door opening warning, traffic jam assist, tire pressure monitoring, and intelligent high beam control.
