For WRC fans out there, the Ford Focus will never be out of the discussion. Not surprising for it reigned as one of the best in the sport for quite some time. That legendary vibe transcends in to the streets, as the new Focus is Ford Philippines’ contender to the compact hatchback realm. Sporting the looks to trigger lots of camera shutters, the Focus’ styling is one for the out-going and the fun-loving.
Inside the new Focus is a clean and modern design with intuitive controls that play a large role in delivering a superior driving experience. Modern features such as SYNC lets you make calls, play music, and even have text messages read aloud using simple voice commands.
The Focus also has the Enhanced Active Park Assist which uses cameras and sensors that enables it to park itself for you. Whether it's parallel or perpendicular parking, the Enhanced Active Park Assist will park the Focus for you and even get you out of an unexpected tight parking spot. It also has the Active City Stop feature that can detect potential unexpected collisions.
It is powered by a smaller yet more powerful 1.5L EcoBoost GTDi engine that has a maximum output of 180 hp and 240 Nm of torque. You can now have both fuel economy and power on the same engine.
Available in 6 color variants: Frozen White, Panther Black, Ingot Silver, Candy Red, Winning Blue, and Mustard Olive.
After being globally introduced earlier this year, Ford Philippines finally brought the new Focus into our shores. This new compact sedan and hatchback promises a better driving experience with its improved looks, smarter features, and a new engine.
Driving with friends and family is enjoyable indeed. But sometimes tempers flare resulting to an unpleasant road trip for everyone. To help avoid this, Ford Philippines and the Emily Post Institute offer these drive-by etiquettes for happier and safer journeys.
