Just because it’s made in China, does not mean it’s a sub-par. No, not with Haima. To prove that, they brought in their front-lining Haima2 in our shores and battle it out with the giants in the Philippine motoring industry’s hatchback segment. This Chinese 5door hatchback has a lot of things up its sleeve, starting with a sporty-looking aerodynamic body that is both cutting-edge and at par with the more mainstream Mazda2 or the Hyundai Accent Hatchback. Wild cat’s-eye headlamps make it look just as mean, if not meaner than its counterparts, and adding sports-oriented front/rear bumper-skirts with mini skid-plates add to its already aggressive stance. Internally, the Haima2 sits 5, with decent extra spaces for small stuffs and more. Aiding in the entertainment department is a standard radio/CD audio system, plus an MP3 compatibility option for the range mid and topping variants.
Powering the Haima2 is an inline 4-cylinder 16-valve DOHC which comes in two forms – a1.3L and a 1.5L. Transmission options include a 5-Speed AT and a 6-Speed AT with ASG. Perfect for our young drivers, this hatchback gets everything going in smooth sporty fashion, with agility and activeness in mind.
