The Hyundai Venue is a subcompact crossover built on Hyundai’s K2 vehicle platform. Positioned below the Creta in terms of size, the Venue is one of Hyundai’s budget-friendly crossover offerings, designed to deliver versatility and affordability.
Powering the Venue here in the Philippines is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine developing 121 hp and 150.7 Nm of torque delivered to the front wheels through either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
Standard interior features include an eight-inch display audio infotainment system, power-adjustable side mirrors, driver-side airbags, a TFT LCD instrument cluster, a reverse camera, anti-lock brakes, keyless entry, an immobilizer, and a central locking system.
Venue models above the GL variant get two SRS airbags up front, rear parking sensors, and a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel. Exclusive to the top-spec GLS variant are additional features like hill-start assist, electronic stability control, push-button start, selectable drive modes, LED DRLs, LED taillights, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Hyundai Motor Philippines expanded its crossover lineup with the launch of the Venue on September 12, 2025. Hyundai introduced three variants of the Venue for the Philippine market, starting with the Venue GL 6MT priced at P778,000, followed by the Venue GL 6AT priced at P898,000, and topping out with the Venue GLS 6AT priced at P998,000. The Hyundai Venue is available in the following colors: Denim Blue, Ecotronic Gray Pearl, Abyss Black Pearl, and Atlas White.
The Hyundai Venue is underpinned by Hyundai’s K2 vehicle platform with a MacPherson strut suspension at the front and a coupled torsion beam axle at the rear. Braking systems vary by trim, with variants above the GL 6AT using disc brakes on all four wheels, while the GL 6MT model pairs front discs with rear drum brakes. The Venue sold here in the Philippines is powered by a 1.6-liter gasoline engine producing 121 hp at 6,300 rpm and 150.7 Nm of torque at 4,850 rpm. Transmission choices include a six-speed automatic or a six-speed manual; both transmission options exclusively drive the front wheels.

Infotainment and convenience features differ depending on the variant. The top variant includes an eight-inch display audio system with AM/FM, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth with voice recognition, and four speakers. Vital car data is presented through a 4.2-inch TFT LCD in the GLS 6AT and GL 6AT, while a 3.5-inch display is equipped in the manual variant. Additional technology in higher trims includes smart key access with push-button start, drive mode select, auto light control, and a power driver’s window with auto up/down and safety.
On the topic of looks, the Hyundai Venue presents a compact yet upright stance, designed to maximize interior space while maintaining a distinctly urban-friendly footprint. Its squared-off proportions, short overhangs, and slightly elevated ride height give it the look of a small crossover rather than a tall hatchback. At the front, the Venue features Hyundai’s signature grille, flanked by a split-lamp arrangement in higher trims, with halogen headlamps offering static bending functionality on the GLS 6AT and simpler halogen units on the GL 6AT and GL 6MT. LED daytime running lights add a sharper, more modern touch to the GLS variant, complementing the LED rear combination lamps that replace the basic bulb-type assemblies found on lower grades.
Wheel design also helps distinguish the trims, with the top-spec model riding on 17-inch alloy wheels paired with 205/55R17 tires, while the GL 6AT uses 15-inch alloys, and the GL 6MT is fitted with 15-inch steel wheels and hubcaps. The side profile emphasizes a boxy silhouette with a high beltline and upright roofline, giving the Venue a confident, youthful character. Functional details include side mirrors that vary by specification: power-adjustable and electric-folding units with integrated repeaters on higher trims, or simpler power-adjust-only mirrors on the entry-level variant. At the rear, all models feature a high-mounted stop lamp, framed by clean vertical tailgate lines that reinforce its tidy, squared-off look.
The Venue is equipped with Hyundai’s SmartSense suite of safety features. Dual front airbags are provided in the GL 6AT and GLS 6AT variants, while the GL 6MT trim includes only a driver airbag. An anti-lock braking system, an immobilizer, and a reverse camera come standard while electronic stability control and hill-start assist are exclusive to the GLS 6AT variant. Child safety is supported through rear seat anchors, upper and lower tether points, child locks, and an immobilizer system.
