Jaecoo J7 SHS is part of Jaecoo’s recent lineup of hybrid models introduced alongside the brand’s growing focus on electric mobility. It uses the OJ Super Hybrid System-SHS, which combines electric and fuel power through a range extender. The fifth-generation 1.5 TDGI generator supports extended driving range when battery charge runs low.

Battery charging is handled by a CCS Type 2 port. AC charging from 30 to 80 percent takes 180 minutes using 6.6 kW, while DC fast charging at 40 kW takes 20 minutes for the same level. A full tank holds 60 liters of fuel, supporting long trips when the battery runs out.

Jaecoo J7 SHS uses a front-wheel-drive powertrain. It is powered by a hybrid system that includes a 201 hp electric motor with 310 Nm of torque. When the battery runs low, the vehicle activates the 1.5 TDGI generator, which provides 141 hp and 215 Nm of torque to extend range.

Chassis features include a MacPherson front suspension and multi-link rear suspension setup. It uses ventilated disc brakes at the front and solid discs at the rear. The premium variant rolls on 235/50 R19 wheels, while the comfort variant comes with 215/55 R18 wheels.

The Jaecoo J7 SHS includes multiple smart driving systems. Features include hill-start assist, hill descent control, brake assist, electronic brakeforce distribution, and tire pressure monitoring system. The car also comes with a 3.3 kW portable charger and a 7 kW wall-mounted charger, as well as V2L adapter support.

Interior features include a 13.2-inch touchscreen in the comfort variant and a 14.8-inch unit for the premium. A 10.25-inch LCD is used for the instrument cluster. Both variants come with voice control and six to eight speakers depending on the trim.

Exterior lighting includes auto LED headlamps, front and rear fog lamps, and LED daytime running lights. The car also features front and rear wipers, rain-sensing wipers, hidden door handles, and a roof rack. The premium variant comes with power folding and heated exterior mirrors, acoustic glass, panoramic sunroof, and power tailgate.

Other exterior highlights include manual or automatic headlamp height adjustment, depending on the variant. Both trims come with electronic parking brake with auto hold.

Cabin options include black fabric seats for the comfort variant and leather upholstery for the premium. Seat adjustments are manual on the comfort trim (6-way driver, 4-way passenger) and powered with heating and ventilation on the premium. Ambient lighting is only available on the higher trim.

Rear seats are in 60:40 split configuration and include ISOFIX support. Mirrors are either manual or anti-glare for the lower variant, while the premium gets an automatic rear-view mirror. Steering wheels are wrapped in leather for all models.
