Kaicene Philippines, under Berjaya Auto Asia, Inc., is presenting its lineup to the Philippine market. The brand aims to provide cost-effective vehicles to consumers and was introduced to the country in July of 2019 with two vehicles leading the charge. The company officially changed its name in July 2020 from Changan, like its parent company, to Kaicene.
Two vehicles comprise the Kaicene lineup in the Philippines. For consumers, the brand offers the Honor S MPV which can seat up to 8 individuals in a single sitting. For small businesses, the Star truck is available in a selection of body configurations ranging from a cab and chassis, drop-side pickup, and an aluminum box van.
Kaicene has launched a two-car lineup for 2019. Mainly focusing on affordable utility for both consumers and small businesses. The Honor S has seating capacity enough for 8 individuals, while the Star Truck can be procured in three different body configurations.
Kaicene uses the number of seats in its MPV to denote the trim level, but even while that’s in play, the price remains the same between the two variants. For the Star Truck, the variant is completely dependent on the body-configuration.
