Kaicene Honor S Overview
The Changan Honor S is a small MPV that seats up to 8 passengers at once. It marks the brand's entry into the segment and does so at a very attractive price tag. It's one of the newest MPVs to have entered the Philippines in 2019, along with the introduction of the Changan brand.
The Honor S features a standard MPV styling that's more utilitarian rather than aesthetically appealing. As a deviation from normal MPVs, the Honor S has sliding rear doors for easier ingress and egress. The 7-seater variant of the Honor S has two captain's seats at the second row, upholstered in black leather. Standard across the range is the 10-inch touchscreen audio system with Bluetooth.
The Changan Honor S is powered by a 1.5-Liter VVT-i gasoline engine that produces 104 hp and 145 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

The small MPV was launched in the year 2019 alongside Changan's commercial vehicle, the Star Truck. The launch announced the brand's presence in the Philippines as a cost-effective choice for the price-conscious consumer.
- Platform, Chassis and Powertrain

A 5-speed manual transmission comes mated to a 1.5L engine with an output of 103 hp with 145 Nm of torque. The gasoline motor is Euro V certified and has a total fuel tank capacity of 42 liters.
The Honor rides on a set of 14-inch alloys and has a disc and drum brake combo. The small MPV also has a McPherson strut in the front and a leaf spring suspension at the back.

The technology inside the Changan Honor S is apt for its price point, if not a little better than expected. One of the headlining features on offer is the 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that outputs to 4 speakers. The screen is quite large for the size of the vehicle, and a set of rear parking sensors and reverse camera come standard with the package.

The headlamps are a halogen projector set with manual leveling functions. Complementing the array is a set of front and rear foglamps. Also differentiating the Honor from the rest of its small-MPV brethren is the dual sliding door that is reminiscent of mini- and full-size vans.
- Interior

The Changan Honor S comes with a 7-seat layout clad in black fabric. Also, a differentiator in its segment is the 2-2-3 seat configuration, where the middle row has captain's seats.
- Safety

Dual airbags for the driver and passenger are present in the vehicle. Also for safety is an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD). Peace of mind can also be had thanks to the burglar alarm and immobilizer system. As a family-oriented vehicle, a child-lock system, as well as a set of ISOFIX anchors found in the second row help keep younger individuals seated and safe.
