Kaiyi Auto X7 2025

The Kaiyi brand officially entered the Philippine market in April 2025. Along with the brand's launch came a lineup of four vehicles, including the X7 PHEV. At launch, the X7 PHEV was offered in three variants: the X7 Version 1, priced at P1,499,000; the X7 Version 2, at P1,548,000; and the range-topping X7 Version 3, with a price tag of P1,599,000.

Built on a unibody platform with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm, the Kaiyi X7 PHEV compact crossover category. It measures 4,738 mm in length, 1,968 mm in width, and 1,708 mm in height, giving it a commanding road presence. Under the hood, it features a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four gasoline engine that produces 135 hp and 231 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor that boosts overall performance and provides smooth, responsive acceleration. Power is sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, offering a blend of efficiency and driving engagement. The hybrid system includes a lithium-iron-phosphate battery that enables up to 150 kilometers of electric-only driving, making it one of the longest EV ranges in its class.

Technologically, the Kaiyi X7 PHEV is well-equipped to meet the needs of modern drivers. The centerpiece of the dashboard is a large touchscreen infotainment system that supports Bluetooth, USB, and Android Auto. Drivers benefit from keyless entry and push-button start, as well as a wireless charging pad for smartphones. Cruise control—along with an electronic parking brake with auto-hold—adds to the vehicle’s convenience. A full-color digital instrument cluster, multifunction steering wheel, and tire pressure monitoring system ensure the driver remains well-informed and in control at all times.

The exterior design of the Kaiyi X7 PHEV is both modern and athletic, with sharp lines and a refined silhouette. It features LED headlights with automatic lighting, follow-me-home functionality, and integrated turn signals on the side mirrors. A sleek roofline is complemented by a roof spoiler, while 20-inch alloy wheels fill out the large wheel arches, giving it a tough and muscular look. Details such as electric folding mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, and chrome accents add a touch of sophistication. The X7’s wide stance and angular rear design help it stand out in the crowded crossover segment.

Inside, the X7 PHEV offers a comfortable and upscale cabin with a 2+3+2 seating configuration, accommodating up to seven passengers. The seats are upholstered in soft leatherette, with both driver and front passenger seats offering electric adjustment. Interior materials are a mix of soft-touch plastics and leather surfaces, creating a refined and premium feel. The spacious second row offers generous legroom, while the third row provides additional seats when needed. Ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, rear air conditioning vents, and numerous storage compartments all contribute to a pleasant and family-friendly environment. Attention to detail is evident in elements like the cooled glove box, reading lights, and multiple USB charging ports distributed throughout the cabin.
