Kia Motors Corporation is South Korea’s oldest automotive manufacturer. Here in the Philippines, Kia Motors began its operation in May 1994, under the wing of the Columbian Autocar Corporation (CAC). Now under new management, the brand is being headed by the Ayala Corporation.
Kia currently has a wide variety of hatchbacks, sedans, minivans, and crossovers on offer in the Philippines that come in various sizes. The lineup includes the Kia Picanto, Soluto, Forte, Rio, and Stinger for the sedans. The crossovers are also plenty, with the Seltos, Sportage, and Sorento being the brand’s offerings. Kia also offers a minivan in the lineup, with the Kia Grand Carnival.
Under the leadership of the Ayala Corporation, Kia unboxed and launched several models such as its affordable Soluto sedan at the start of the year, the Forte with a turbocharged GT Line, and halo Stinger GT sedan followed suit.
Kia’s designation for its top-specced offering is the GT-Line. This is followed by the mid-tier or high-tier EX variants, which is then complemented by the affordable LX variants.
