Following Mercedes-Benz' racing heritage, the Mercedes-AMG GT is the second sports car developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG. This 2-door coupe features a lightweight aluminum space frame, wrapped in a sculpted body with a long muscular hood, a set back passenger cabin, large wheels, and broad tail. The interior offers seats for 2 passengers who will enjoy comfort, luxury and Mercedes-Benz' extensive Intelligent Drive assistance systems. But the real highlight of the Mercedes-AMG GT is its performance. It's powered by an AMG 4.0L V8 biturbo engine with dry sump lubrication and its turbos internally mounted inside the 'V'. This GT S model, with its 510 hp, is clocked to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 311 km/h. Meanwhile, the transaxle configuration mounts the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed transmission at the rear axle for a 47/53 front to rear weight distribution. All this, along with the aluminum double wishbone suspension, AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension, and low kerb weight of 1,540 kg, gives the Mercedes-AMG GT an extremely agile handling and performance on the race track.
