All versions of the 370z come to the Philippines available with a naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6 gasoline engine. - Platform, Chassis and Powertrain
-
The Nissan 370z rides on the brand's Nissan FM platform and is powered by a gasoline V6 engine. The 3.7-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 (VQ37) makes 332hp and 363 Nm of torque. It runs on a minium of 95 octane fuel. Power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels via ether a 6-speed manual with synchroRev RevMatch or a 7-speed Jacto automatic transmission. Helping deliver the power from the engine and transmission to the rear wheels is a carbon-fiber compiste driveshaft along with a limited slip differential.
For suspension, the Nissan 370z comes with double-wishbone aluminum alloy assemblies with an aluminum subframe. At the rear, the sports coupe has a mult-link aluminum alloy suspension. Giving it better handling characteristics the 370z also comes with stabilizer bars. Stopping power for the sports car comes in the form of 4-piston 14-inch ventilated discs at the front and 2-piston 13.8-inch ventilated discs at the rear.
The NISMO variant of the 370z, on the other hand, comes with NISMO-tuned suspension with increased spring and damping rates, it also utilizes the same suspension setup as the stock variant. Being the top of the line model it gets a few more handling bits such as NISMO stabilizer bars. The brakes for the NISMO variant are also the same as the stock 370z it still comes with 4-piston 14-inch ventilated discs at the front and 2-piston 13.8-inch ventilated discs at the rear.
Power for the NISMO 370z has been increased 344hp and 371 Nm of toque out of the same 3.7-liter naturally aspirated gasoline V6 engine found in the other Z car models. Unlike the lower variants, the NISMO 370z comes with a 7-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and paddle shifters. Like its contemporaries, it too comes with a carbon-fiber composite drive shaft.
- Driving Performance
-
The steering and low-speed handling of the Z are on the heavier side. Thanks to the hydraulic power steering, the steering feel is second to none. At speed or in the bends, the Z gives you massive amounts of feedback whenever you turn into a corner with minimal body roll. The chassis is tight and well-engineered enough to take on even the most demanding of turns. Power is also linear throughout the rev range, but the car likes staying in the upper engine speeds thanks to Nissan's VVEL technology, which allows for that traditional power delivery that is native to many Japanese sports cars of the era.
- Exterior
-
On the outside, the Nissan 370Z comes with a strike face that is complemented by sharp headlights and a large grille. The two-door, two-seater sports car also comes with Bi-Xenon HID projector headlamps that come with auto leveling, auto on/off washers, LED daytime running lamps, LED tail lamps, rear fog lamps, power adjustable and power folding door mirrors, and variable intermittent front wipers.
The NISMO variant of the 370Z comes with 19-inch NISMO forged-alloy wheels by rays, NISMO designed front and rear bumpers, NISMO designed side skirt, and a special NISMO exhaust. All these new additions help differential the top of the line variant from the rest of the variants.
