The Nissan X-Trail e-POWER marks the return of one of Nissan's most recognizable nameplates to the Philippine market. Launch
The Nissan X-Trail e-POWER was officially launched in the Philippines on June 4, 2026 during the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). It returned to the local lineup after several years of absence, becoming Nissan Philippines' latest electrified offering and its flagship e-POWER model. The crossover is offered in a single variant with a suggested retail price of P2,290,000.
Platform, Chassis and Powertrain
The X-Trail e-POWER rides on the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance's CMF-C platform, which underpins a range of compact and midsize vehicles worldwide. Measuring 4,690 mm long, 1,840 mm wide, and 1,725 mm tall, it rides on a 2,705 mm wheelbase and offers 204 mm of ground clearance.
Power comes from Nissan's second-generation e-POWER system, which combines a 1.5-liter VC-Turbo three-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor and lithium-ion battery. Unlike a conventional hybrid, the gasoline engine functions solely as a generator and never powers the wheels directly. Instead, propulsion is handled entirely by the electric motor, producing 201 hp and 330 Nm of torque. This setup delivers the immediate acceleration and refined driving characteristics associated with electric vehicles while eliminating range anxiety and the need for charging infrastructure. Nissan claims a driving range of up to 1,000 km on a full tank of fuel under ideal conditions.
The X-Trail e-POWER is also equipped with EV Mode and e-Pedal Step, allowing drivers to experience near one-pedal driving in urban traffic while maximizing energy recuperation.
Technology Features
The X-Trail e-POWER comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of connectivity and convenience features. Dominating the dashboard is a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system paired with a matching 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Up front, the crossover features full LED headlights complemented by LED daytime running lights and a satin silver lower bumper garnish. The front seats feature eight-way power adjustment, while the second row offers sliding functionality and a 40:20:40 split-folding configuration for greater flexibility when carrying passengers and cargo. Rear occupants also benefit from dedicated climate controls, rear air vents, and integrated sunshades that enhance comfort during longer journeys.
Cargo capacity is rated at 482 liters, providing ample space for luggage, groceries, or outdoor gear. A panoramic sunroof further contributes to the cabin's sense of openness and premium appeal.
Safety
For the Nissan X-Trail’s safety features it comes equipped with six airbags and Nissan's Intelligent Mobility suite of driver assistance technologies. The crossover is fitted with Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Intelligent Emergency Braking, which help detect potential hazards and can automatically apply the brakes when necessary.
Additional active safety systems include Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, High Beam Assist, and Driver Attention Assist. Together, these features help improve driver awareness and reduce the likelihood of accidents during everyday driving.
