There's an increasing popularity of crossovers in our country’s motoring scene. Manufacturers have pulled all the stops to compete in the current trend, and among them is Motor Image Pilipinas that brought us the XV – a high-performing subcompact crossover from Subaru Philippines. At first glance, the XV looks uncanny with its 2018 updates with a bit longer and wider body from the previous generation. It now has more obvious SUV characteristics like a higher ground clearance, slightly longer wheelbase and an accessory-ready roof rails. Add this to the unconventional rims that comes standard with their units. Within its car-like image is a 5-seater leather interior trim with loads of on-board high-technology entertainment system. The 2.0i-S variant also comes with a version that features the Subaru EyeSight technology. This is in addition to Subaru's Core Technology, which has the capability to assist the driver with wide range of functions, including a Pre-Collision Braking, Pre-Collision Throttle Management, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Lead Vehicle Start Alert, and Lane Departure Warning. The technology also allows the integration of forward-facing stereoscopic cameras on the sides of the rear-view mirror – your other set of eyes on the road. Beating within is a 2.0L 4-Cylinder 16-Valve Boxer Engine, mated to a Lineartronic CVT. Guided by the brand’s famed Symmetrical AWD System, the XV exhibits the same all-terrain capabilities of its much bigger brothers in the family.
