The Suzuki Fronx is a subcompact crossover with a sleek coupe-like shape and a mild hybrid system under the hood. It’s made to handle traffic-heavy city drives just as well as longer trips out of town, all while staying fuel-efficient and practical. The design leans sporty with its wide and bold look, thanks to the split-style LED headlights positioned low on the bumper, and DRLs that double as turn signals placed right above. The fender design gives it a wide stance, while the black plastic cladding on the wheel arches and brushed aluminum accents on the lower doors add a rugged touch.
Launch
The Suzuki Fronx officially joined the local market as part of Suzuki Philippines' expanding lineup of electrified vehicles. With its mild hybrid system and advanced driver assist technologies, the Fronx aims to offer a new level of smart utility and safety. The top-spec SGX variant takes the lead in introducing Suzuki’s full driver assist system to local buyers.
Platform, Chassis and Powertrain
Made for versatility and fuel economy, the Fronx uses the K15B 1.5-liter Dual Jet engine with Dual VVT and a 16-valve DOHC layout. With 99 hp and 135 Nm of torque, the engine delivers balanced performance for both city and highway conditions. The mild hybrid system provides electric motor assistance or battery regeneration based on driving behavior. Mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox and a front-wheel-drive layout, the Fronx offers smooth acceleration and dependable handling. Its 170mm ground clearance allows it to manage uneven roads while staying comfortable and planted during daily driving. The platform supports efficient fuel usage, with real-world results confirming its ability to reach close to 28 km/L under optimal driving conditions.

Technology Features
Inside, the Fronx presents what Suzuki calls a smart and modern cabin. A nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system sits at the center of the dashboard, providing access to wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth telephony, music playback, and vehicle status monitoring. This screen also doubles as the display for the 360-degree camera, offering a clearer view of surroundings during parking or tight maneuvering. The SGX variant includes a heads-up display with driver-selectable modes showing speed, RPM, fuel consumption, external temperature, and battery activity.
The instrument cluster combines traditional analog gauges for the tachometer, speedometer, fuel, and engine temperature with a 4.2-inch colored multi-function information display in the center. Other standard tech features include wireless charging for compatible smartphones, a USB-A port, a 12V power socket, footwell lighting for easier ingress and egress at night, and automatic climate control with rear air vents and dual USB ports for rear passengers.
Exterior
The exterior of the Fronx combines futuristic lighting elements with rugged crossover details. At the front, the daytime running lights are placed high and serve as turn indicators, while the split-style LED headlamps are mounted lower where fog lamps are usually positioned. This lighting arrangement, along with the double-fender surface treatment, gives the Fronx a wide and aggressive appearance. The black cladding on the wheel wells and rocker panels enhances its crossover profile, while brushed aluminum trim under the doors adds a premium touch.
The rear of the vehicle continues the sleek design language with a hatch spoiler, a high-mounted brake light, and LED taillights connected by a thin illuminated strip that glows red at night. The Fronx’s roofline slopes gently downward, emphasizing its coupe-inspired shape without compromising practicality. Its 16-inch alloy wheels complete the bold stance, balancing visual appeal and ride comfort.
Interior
The cabin of the Fronx features a black and burgundy theme, with upholstery made from a combination of synthetic leather and cloth-like materials. The seats are designed to provide comfort for five adults, while the door panels and dashboard are finished in a mix of soft-touch burgundy materials and piano black accents. Gloss and brushed aluminum surfaces are also used throughout to elevate the interior's visual tone.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel includes controls for the infotainment system, hands-free calling, and cruise control. The analog dials are easy to read and paired with the color display for hybrid and trip information. In the rear, passengers enjoy dedicated air vents and two USB ports. Luggage capacity starts at 304 liters, expandable to 605 liters with the second-row seats folded flat. There are also ambient footwell lights to aid visibility in low-light conditions.
Safety
The Fronx SGX is the first model in Suzuki’s Philippine lineup to feature the brand’s full advanced driver assist system, known as the Suzuki Safety Support. At its core is Dual Sensor Brake Support II, which detects objects in front of the vehicle and can alert the driver or apply the brakes automatically between 5 and 180 km/h. Other driver aids include Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Prevention, Lane Keep Assist, Weaving Alert, Automatic High Beam, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control. The safety suite is powered by a camera mounted behind the rearview mirror and a radar sensor in the front bumper, while the rear bumper holds blind spot sensors for added rear visibility.
Standard safety features include six SRS airbags, three-point seatbelts for all occupants, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Electronic Stability Program, and Hill Hold Control. Combined with the Fronx’s advanced driver assist technology, these features provide reassurance whether navigating tight city roads or cruising on open highways.
