The new Volkswagen Caddy is the latest addition to the German brand’s MPV lineup, joining the Touran. Just like its smaller brother, it can accommodate up to 7 people inside, while also providing usage options to its owner for its flexible seating configuration. The difference between the two is their overall size and their point of entry as the Caddy comes with a sliding door on both sides.
In the Philippines, the new Caddy comes with halogen twin headlamps with daytime running lights, as well as chrome-plated horizontal radiator grill and black roof rails. Inside, the seats are covered with “Cheyenne” fabric material, while the 2nd row seats can be folded and tipped and the 3rd row seats can be removed completely for the extra huge cargo capacity. Entertainment inside is through the RCD 310 head unit with Radio, CD, MP3, USB, and Aux-in.
Under the hood of the new Caddy is a 4-cylinder turbo 1.6 CRDI diesel engine that is able to produce 102 hp and 250 Nm of torque. This is then mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission. Available in Candy White, Toffee Brown, Reflex Silver, Natural Gray, Lava Red, Night Blue, and Deep Black Pearl.
