Mitsubishi Motor Philippines Corp. (MMPC) has added a new variant to its Montero Sport lineup. The new Montero Sport variant is given the name GLX, which comes in 2-wheel drive mode (2WD) and a 6-speed manual transmission (6MT).
The GLX is fitted with similar features of the existing GLS variants, such as the 18-inch alloy wheels, projector-type halogen headlamps, and fog lamps with daytime running lights (DRL).
Inside, the GLX variant features a floor center console finished in silver with piano black accent, while other interior details are closely similar to the GLS variants. In addition, some features of the GLX include central door lock system, power windows, multimedia entertainment system, and Automatic Climate Control System.
For safety, the Montero Sport GLX is integrated with an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake distribution (EBD), as well as 3-Point seatbelts with double pretensioners.
Found under its hood is the same 2.4L diesel engine that delivers 181 hp and 430 Nm of torque.
