After announcing their intentions back in January, Korean marque SsangYong has officially returned to the Philippines, this time under a new local distributor - SsangYong Berjaya Motor Philippines (SBMP).
The brand is set to make its public debut at the upcoming 2016 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) this month. There, they plan to unveil their full vehicle line-up namely the Rodius MPV, Korando compact SUV, and the Tivoli subcompact SUV.
All these models are designed to address Filipino families’ needs for stylish, durable, economic and dynamic modes of transportation,” said Dave Macasadia, SBMP Managing Director.
As for their dealer network, SsangYong Philippines’ very first showroom will soon rise along Quezon Avenue. This should be quickly followed by several more facilities around the country that we hope to also open this year. What’s really nice about SBMP is that they’re also welcoming owners of old SsangYong models, those bought from its previous dealer, to their service centers. They’ll even serve their parts requirements, which should be a relief to these once-orphaned brand loyalists.
