Ask car dealer about cost and frequency of service intervals (i.e. PMS). This will be a major addition to your ost of ownership. In the case for the 2022 Mitsubishi Strada GLS 4WD M/T - it is 1K, 5K kms, then followed every 5K kms (i.e. 10K, 15K, etc) or 3 MONTHS whichever comes first. Expect a minimum of Php7,000/every visit to the casa. This is using 8-L of their shop oil Idemitsu 5W-30 synthetic motor oils. That excludes any other future repairs / replacements e.g. filters, pads etc…Compare that to my previous Ford Ranger XLS 2.2L 4WD M/T which only needs a yearly PMS and use LiquiMoly oils (engine and transmission) and FoMoCo original parts for ~Php10-15K/yr… Better buy the bare Ford Ranger XLS 2.2L 4WD M/T for a more cost effective vehicle ownership and not be hoodwinked by the useless accessories they put into the vehicles…it’s better to add what you just need. The HP/torque figures are the same for all pick-up trucks at the most useful revs (1K to 2K rpms), the same space, comfort and useful carrying loads. Also opt for either 15in to 16in rims, with a wider / taller profile for more comfort (275/75 R16 is ideal). Hood dampeners or struts are very useful, plastic bedliners,deep dish matting, door edge protectors all-around, side/door cladding with reflective strips, a roller lid / canopy and undercoat are also ideal add-ons.
Nice to drive. Not a sedan so its pretty rough but its a pick up! Manuverablity is superb. First time driver but it felt it was a mirage hatchback on tight streets.
